Terms of Use
Last updated March 9, 2026. These terms govern 2ndthoughts.ai, the SEQUITUR platform, and related services (the “Service”) provided by 2ndThoughts.
By accessing, registering, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company or other organization, you represent that you can bind that organization, and “you” includes both of you. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SEQUITUR lets users query and analyze enterprise data — including operational logs, security events, sales data, and workforce records — in natural language. It connects to your sources, processes queries with AI models, and generates insights, summaries, visualizations, or reports. The Service is provided “as is” and is meant primarily for business use. The applications described on this site are SEQUITUR IT Operations and SEQUITUR Revenue Operations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. The Service is not directed to anyone under 16 (or under 13 in some places). If you use it for an organization, you represent that the organization is duly organized and in good standing.
3. Accounts
You will give accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or create a security risk.
4. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
- Upload or query data that infringes someone’s rights or contains malware.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract underlying models or code.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or scrape outputs in bulk.
- Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.
- Impersonate anyone or give false information.
- Use bots or scripts except where we expressly allow them.
We may monitor use for compliance, security, and improvement, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your data
You keep ownership of data you upload, connect, or enter (“Your Data”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, copy, transmit, display, and use Your Data only to provide and maintain the Service, generate answers to your queries, and produce aggregated or anonymized usage analytics that do not identify Your Data.
We do not use Your Data to train or improve general-purpose AI models unless you opt in to an optional program. You represent that you have the rights to provide Your Data, that it does not break the law or third-party rights, and that you will follow data-protection law when it includes personal data.
6. Outputs
Insights, summaries, recommendations, and visualizations are informational. They may contain errors, bias, or inaccuracies. They are not legal, financial, HR, medical, or other professional advice, and they should not be the only basis for a decision. You are responsible for checking outputs before you rely on them. We disclaim liability for decisions based on outputs.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, software, models, documentation, and our marks belong to us or our licensors. If you comply with these terms and pay any fees, we grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business during the subscription term. Do not remove copyright or trademark notices.
8. Payment
Some features require payment. Fees and renewal terms are shown at signup or in the account. Published list prices also appear on the platform page. Payments are non-refundable except where we say otherwise. We may change prices with notice. Late payment can mean fees or suspension. Taxes are yours unless stated otherwise.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a material breach, non-payment, a legal reason, or a risk to security or other users. After termination, access ends. We may delete Your Data after a backup window, typically 30–90 days.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF OUTPUTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from Your Data, your use of the Service or its outputs, or your violation of these terms or the law.
13. EEA, UK, and Swiss data protection
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, or Your Data includes personal data of people there, we act as a processor (or sub-processor) on your instructions as controller. Processing follows the GDPR and UK GDPR as applicable. We use appropriate security measures, process personal data on your documented instructions, and assist with data-subject requests, breach notices, and impact assessments where required.
Transfers outside the EEA or UK rely on a valid mechanism, such as the European Commission’s 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses (Module 2), the UK addendum, or another lawful tool. You can request our data-processing addendum at . You may object to certain processing, request restriction or portability, and complain to a supervisory authority.
14. Arbitration
Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court, or injunctive relief about intellectual property or unauthorized use, disputes arising out of these terms or the Service are resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules (or Consumer Rules if you are an individual consumer). The arbitration is held in Dallas, Texas, in English, before one arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Proceedings are individual, not class, consolidated, or representative. You waive any right to participate as a class member. If you are an individual consumer and not using the Service for business, you may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by writing to .
These terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration provision. The arbitration agreement survives termination.
15. Changes and miscellaneous
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change is acceptance. Material changes will be notified by email or in the Service. These terms are the entire agreement. A waiver must be in writing. If one provision fails, the rest remains. We may assign these terms; you may not, without consent. Notices to us go to .
