Privacy Policy
Last updated March 8, 2026. This is the policy published for the SEQUITUR service, restated for this site.
2ndThoughts (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website 2ndthoughts.ai and the associated SEQUITUR service (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to these practices.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account details such as name, email, password, company, and job title when you register, sign in, or request access.
- Contact details when you write to us.
- Data you upload or connect in SEQUITUR — operational logs, security events, sales data, HR records, and similar business data. That material may include personal data about employees, customers, or other people.
- Payment details, which are handled by third-party processors. We do not store full card numbers.
- Messages, feedback, and support tickets.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and browser data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Usage data such as pages visited, features used, time on site, referring URLs, and SEQUITUR queries.
- Log and security events.
We use cookies and similar tools for authentication, analytics, and site function. You can control cookies in your browser. This marketing site uses Google Analytics to measure visits.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including natural-language querying and AI inference.
- Authenticate accounts and offer support.
- Process payments where a subscription applies.
- Understand usage and performance.
- Send service messages such as security alerts and product updates.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Meet legal obligations.
- Send marketing only with your consent. You can opt out at any time.
Data you upload or connect to SEQUITUR is processed to answer your queries and generate insights. We do not use that customer data to train general-purpose or public models, or for purposes unrelated to your Service, unless you explicitly opt in to an optional improvement program.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers — hosting such as AWS or Azure, limited analytics, payment processors, email, and support tools — under data-protection terms.
- With AI inference providers, when a third-party LLM API is used, and only the portions required for the query. Raw datasets are not sent.
- In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- When the law, a subpoena, or a court order requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
- With your consent, or at your direction, such as sharing a dashboard.
4. Storage and international transfers
Data is stored primarily in the United States. If you access the Service from the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or elsewhere, your information may be processed in the US. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
- Account data is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period after it ends.
- Usage logs are typically kept 12–24 months for security and analytics.
- Customer-uploaded SEQUITUR data is kept while you use it, and deleted when the account ends or you ask, subject to backup windows of about 30–90 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, or delete personal information, opt out of certain processing, withdraw consent, or ask for restriction or portability. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.
California residents can request to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To use these rights, email . We may need to verify your identity.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls, and security review. No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong password and protect your credentials.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16 (or under 13 where that is the local rule). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The new date will appear on this page. Material changes will be sent by email or noted in the Service.
